Colombia is a year-round destination. Close to the equator, it has no real seasons, only dry and wet periods that change with altitude and region.

Andes (Bogotá, Boyacá, Medellín)

Dry seasons run December to March and July to August. Temperature depends on altitude: eternal spring in Medellín, crisp air in Tunja.

Caribbean (Cartagena, Tayrona)

Hot all year (28 to 32 °C). December to April is driest and breeziest. Tayrona Park usually closes for a few weeks each year.

Pacific and Amazon

Humpback whales visit July to October. Caño Cristales shows its colours June to November. The Amazon is open year-round, with higher water March to June.
