The Eastern Andes offer some of South America's most spectacular treks, far from the crowds. Two routes stand out.

Ocetá Páramo

Often called the most beautiful páramo in the world, Ocetá is a day hike from Monguí: frailejón forests, lagoons and rock formations above 3,800 m.

Sierra Nevada del Cocuy

Glaciers, turquoise lagoons and peaks over 5,000 m. Access is regulated: a local guide is mandatory and only approved routes are open. We handle permits and logistics.

How to prepare

  • At least 2 days of acclimatisation
  • Warm and waterproof layers
  • Good physical fitness
  • A certified local guide
